Mama, Can We Talk? is a documentary about a Black transgender person sharing their trans identity with their family.
This film would not have been possible without many community members and support from a tight knit Black trans network in the U.S South. A MASSIVE Thank You to everyone involved with each part of this process.
Special thanks to Glo Merriweather and Micky B for their help in shaping the distribution and preproduction phases (respectively) of this project.
This project was created in collaboration with House of Pentacles (a Black trans film training program and production house) and Southerners On New Ground - SONG (a regional Queer Liberation organization made up of people of color, immigrants, undocumented people, people with disabilities, working class and rural and small town, LGBTQ people in the South).
